Hi,
I'm Capt. Raul Montoro. I was born and raised in Miami ,
Florida , and being so close to this world-class fishing
area means I spend lots of time fishing and diving from
Miami to the Florida Keys . I was lucky to have a father
who showed my brother and I the ropes when it came to safety,
navigation, and of course fishing.
I grew up offshore fishing, and got a taste of shallow water
fishing around the age of sixteen. You can say the rest
is history. There’s nothing like watching the sun
rising on the horizon, with you on your favorite flat, and
suddenly you see a school of bonefish tailing forty feet
from the bow of the boat. This gets my blood pumping. To
me it's one of the most exciting things, when you get that
chance to make a perfect cast to a fish, watch him eat,
and then hang on while he rips 200 yards of line off your
reel in only seconds. It doesn't get any better than that!
I'm a hard working fishing guide and I'll do whatever it
takes to put you on fish. With my laid back attitude I make
it pleasant for anglers to enjoy their day on the water.
